The Yoga Garden's classes are based on the Dru Yoga tradition

"Dru Yoga is a graceful and potent form of yoga, based on soft flowing movements, directed breathing and visualisation. With its foundations set firmly in ancient yogic tradition, Dru works on body, mind and spirit—improving strength and flexibility, creating core stability, building a heightened feeling of positivity, and deeply relaxing and rejuvenating your whole being. Designed to be practised by people of all abilities, all fitness levels and all age groups, Dru is a style of yoga that can be quickly dipped into or learnt in more depth over a lifetime."

A hallmark of Dru Yoga are the Energy Block Release sequences (EBRs) that are specifically designed to release stuck energy on all levels of our being, directly influencing our subtle energy channels. The result is that Dru works therapeutically on the whole body, strengthening the powerful energy field surrounding the heart bringing about empowerment, transformation, harmony and happiness.

Where does the word ‘Dru’ come from?
Dru comes from the Sanskrit word dhruva, which in Sanskrit is the name for the north pole star, a fixed point in the sky that traditionally seafarers navigated by. This fixed point is resonant of the stillness that can be experienced in Dru Yoga and Dru Meditation. In this space we are able to stand in our centre, see with clarity and act from a place inner calm and integrity.

Suzanna's moment of fame
In 2015 Suzanna was awarded with the Dru Star award for her service to Dru, in particular  for the work she has done in the way of developing the Dru Kids and Teens post graduate course. This course is instrumental in bringing the wonderful benefits of yoga and meditation to the young ones, helping them establish good practices to face this thing called Life!
